Valentine's Day at the House that LOVE built

This Valentine's day, 18 students, faculty and friends from the Academy of the New Church Secondary Schools (ANC) went to the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia to cook breakfast. It was the largest group they've taken, but with an ambitious menu in mind they needed every set of hands. In addition to some amazing home fries, eggs, fruit salad, croissants and sausage, Keith brought his omelet pans and made omelets to order for any guest that came through the line. After a lot of chopping and frying, the group sat down for their own breakfast, with an opportunity to meet some of the current residents. After a brief tour of the "House that Love Built", they wrapped it up and made their trip home. This event was sponsored by ANC's community service club, Delta Mu. Service has always been a foundational value for ANC and in 2008, they were named Best Area School for Community Service. Students earn their membership to Delta Mu by completing at least 25 service hours. Thanks to all who participated for your part in creating a culture of service and giving in the community.
